Review of the Estate Maintenance
On the 30th January the Committee met with Jemma Davies of Eddisons and a representative of Amazon Gardening Services to review the Maintenance Specification in the light of the past year. We agreed that we are broadly happy with the way that the Estate is being maintained, and discussed a number of minor changes. The main one was the way that the hedges bordering houses are going to be trimmed in future. The existing specification says that they will be kept to 4-5 feet high and 4-5 feet thick. That was based on the problems experienced by previous gardeners. However Amazon have the necessary equipment to keep the hedges properly trimmed at 6 feet high, so we are revising the specification to say that the hedges will be 6 feet high or the height of the wall as appropriate, and maintain whatever the current thickness is. Also where the hedge was previously cut back the dogwood roots will be ground out to stop them regrowing.
Once the new specification has been agreed by all parties it will be posted here.
